How to Sign Up for On-Campus Interviews: Use RAMTrak 

On-campus interviewing at the Career Services Office enables students and alumni to interview for career opportunities and internships with local, national, and global employers.

 

Our on-line recruiting system, called RAMTrak, allows you to conveniently manage your interview activity through the Web, including submitting your résumé and signing up for interviews. On-line recruiting is the most current technology used by the top-twenty schools. The WSSU Career Services is proud to make this technology available to its students!

RAMTrak INSTRUCTIONS FOR FRESHMEN

 

RAMTrak is designed for Winston-Salem State University students and alumni who are interested in full-time and part-time positions, internships, and co-ops. Career-related information and resources are also available on the RAMTrak site.

To Use RAMTrak

 

 SEARCHING FOR JOBS

 

  • Click on Jobs and Internships.
  • Specify your criteria by selecting the preference of your job type, location, etc.
  • Click the “Search” button.

 UPLOADING RÉSUMÉS AND OTHER DOCUMENTS

 

You can upload your résumé, cover letter, and transcript (up to 10 pages total). The following file types are currently supported:

·          Acrobat Reader (PDF) Word 5.1 for MAC WordPerfect 5.0

·          AmiPro 3.0 Word 5.0 for MAC WordPro 97

·          Generic ASCII Text Word 4.0 for MAC WordStar 7.0

·          Generic RTF Word 3x for DOS WordStar 4.0

·          Word 9.0 (2000) Word 2.0 Works 4.0 for Windows

·          Word 8.0 (97) WordPad 1.0 Works 3.0 for Windows

·          Word 6.0 for DOS WordPerfect 8.0 Write 3.1 for Windows

Make sure you keep an electronic copy of your résumé!

 

To Upload Your Résumé(s):

 

  • Click on “Résumés.”
  • Select “Résumés” from the list to the right of the screen.
  • Read the terms and conditions and follow the steps outlined.

APPLYING FOR JOBS

 

In most cases, you will not be able to apply for a job if your résumé is not uploaded to the system. It would be to your advantage to take some time out now to prepare a résumé, save an electronic copy of it, and have it critiqued by the Office of Career Services. The Office of Career Services can assist you with preparing your résumé.

  • Click on the job that interests you.
  • Make sure to read all the information provided, and be sure that you meet the requirements.
  • Scroll down until you see the “Click Here To Apply Online” button.
  • Click the button, and follow the final instructions, if applicable.

SIGNING UP FOR INTERVIEWS, SEMINARS, PRESENTATIONS, AND WORKSHOPS

 

Seminars, workshops, and presentations will all fall under “Presentations.”  You will not be able to sign up for an interview or any Career Services on-campus events without having an account.  To set up an account, read and follow the instructions on Using RAMTrak.

 

From time to time, employers will visit the Office of Career Services to interview students on campus for internships, co-ops, full-time, and part-time jobs. Make sure to check RAMTrak often for on-campus interviews.

 

Interviews

 

  • Click “On-Campus Events.”
  • Specify the date criteria, and then click “Search.”
  • Click on the “Details” link of the position to learn more about the position and to see if it is open for signups or résumé submissions. Some employers will specify a date for students to begin submitting résumés or signing up for the interviews. Pay close attention to the deadline. The Office of Career Services will adhere to the deadline specified by the employer. With a Pre-Select Interview Schedule, you must meet minimum qualifications. Make sure to read the details before attempting to apply or sign up. Interviews, Presentations, Workshops, and Seminars are generally not that restrictive.

Presentations, Workshops, Seminars

 

The Office of Career Services, as well as Employers and other Career Services associates, will offer presentations, workshops, and seminars throughout the year. Unless otherwise stated, all students are welcome.

 

  • Click “On-Campus Events.”
  • Scroll down to Presentations.
  • Specify the date criteria, and then click “Search Presentations.”
  • Click on the date of the presentation.
  • Scroll down, and then click “Sign Up for this Presentation.”

To get help with any feature, click the “help” button while on the screen that has that particular feature.
