The Development Office is one of the university advancement units charged with the primary mission of obtaining needed philanthropic gifts from Winston-Salem State University Alumni, friends/supporters, as well as the local, regional and national corporate sector.  As Winston-Salem State continues to grow, the investment of our friends and supporters in the university becomes even more important to the successful mission of WSSU: producing outstanding human capital able to compete in the high tech, information transfer, global market economy.  This will take strong support from you and others who understand that Winston-Salem State University, although a North Carolina public institution of higher education, is not totally funded by the state.
