What is the Master’s in Healthcare Administration (or MHA) degree?
The Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree will prepare students for a broad range of careers in health services management positions in hospitals, outpatient clinics, public health, nonprofit health associations, long-term care facilities, pharmaceutical companies, durable medical equipment manufacturers, health insurance, and temporary services. The MHA program plays a significant role in the university’s goal to provide well-trained and highly motivated leaders in the healthcare field.
Who should obtain this degree?
This degree will benefit professionals who are currently employed (or have a record of significant previous employment) in the type of organizations listed above and who are seeking to advance their careers by pursuing graduate degree offered in the evenings. Current or previous employment in the health care field is a requirement for admission to the MHA program.
