An entry-level Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy (MS) designed for the student with an undergraduate degree; offered over 7 semesters, and is inclusive of didactic coursework and 24 weeks of fulltime fieldwork experiences.

     Innovative Curriculum
     An integrated curriculum that highlights practical skills and fundamental courses that 
     prepares students in their role as practitioner, administrator, educator-learner and
     researcher
in traditional and emerging areas of practice.

    
     Engaging Coursework MSOT courses

  •  are delivered by a diverse clinical and doctoral 
     prepared faculty who are experts in their 
     respective field.
  •  cultivate learning while stimulating creativity, critical reasoning, 
     evidence-based practice and research.
  •  progressively build and reinforce assessment and intervention through 
     "hands on" application.
  •  employ a multitude of interactive instructional delivery methods
     including short lectures, electronic online media projects, case-based
     and inquiry learning, small group synthesis and discussions.
  •  include small group learning with low faculty-student ratio.
  •  are supplemented through renowned fieldwork affiliations in clinical 
     and community settings.

     State of the Art Facilities

  •  Patient Simulation and human cadaver and well equipped skill
     laboratories.
  •  Wireless ready classrooms, teleconferencing capability, and access to

  •  Library resources, electronic databases, texts/journals and multimedia 
     in a defined health science area; Access to interlibrary loan and 
     services across 16 campuses in the UNC University system.
