CONTINUING EDUCATION
The Office of Continuing Education, Noncredit Programming, offers certificate programs and personal and professional development noncredit courses, which reflect and anticipate the changing nature of society. Courses require no special University admission status and are regularly scheduled to meet the needs of groups or individuals.

Mission of the Department of Defense’s Military Spouse Career Advancement program is to provide up to $6000 of financial assistance for eligible military spouses to obtain certification or professional development in various university courses and programs.
Tuition & Financial Aid
Winston-Salem State University-Division of Lifelong Learning Continuing Education & Summer Sessions is now listed among schools and colleges that military spouses residing anywhere in the world can select to further their education and career goals! MyCAA financial assistance will pay for expenses such as post-secondary education and training, tuition, licensing, and credentialing fees. It does not pay for computers, school application fees, graduation fees, student activity cards, child care, parking, transportation, medical services or testing fees.

Winston-Salem State University’s Center for Community Safety (CCS), in collaboration with the Office of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions offers free workshops to introduce adult learners to using the facilities at Transforming Communities Research Lab (TCRL). Geographic information systems (GIS) assists with research, teaching, and learning issues and to shape action and response to community safety issues.

Travel with a purpose. Custom-designed educational tours for instructor and student groups; educational groups interested in exploring art and history; groups seeking opera, theatre and music performances; and much more. Tours are specially designed to fit the requirements of each group.

SATURDAY ACADEMY PROGRAMS
Learning is a lifelong process. It is related at all points to the life experiences of individuals. It is to this end that the Saturday Academy has been designed.
The Saturday Academy houses and provides year-round opportunities to develop new skills, expand interest in new and exciting topics, learn job skills or enjoy enriching sessions in the arts. Classes are designed for all ages from elementary youth to retirees and include areas of language acquisition, professional and business development, basic education, personal enrichment, art, music, dance, drama and recreation.
