The Student Chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) at WSSU was chartered in 1992. AITP fosters a better understanding of the vital business role of information systems and the proper relationship of information systems to management. Among a number of professional activities, AITP student members are trained in resume writing. The WSSU chapter is part of the national AITP organization that has a local chapter of working professionals based in Winston-Salem. |

The Lambda Epsilon student chapter of Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) was chartered at WSSU in April of 2005. As the premier professional business and financial information fraternity, BAP recognizes academic excellence and complements members’ formal education by providing interaction and networking among students, faculty and professionals. The aim of the organization is to foster lifelong growth, service and ethical conduct. BAP is nationally recognized and respected by the business community as a premier collegiate organization. The reputation of BAP can open doors to outstanding career opportunities in the fields of finance, accounting, and information systems. Potential employers know that when the see BAP on a resume, they are getting the best. |

The Alpha Epsilon Student Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) at WSSU was chartered in June 1994 for accounting majors. The NABA Chapter of WSSU has been recognized nationally for its outstanding performance. The Chapter was granted "Number One" place in the 1996—1997 and 1997—1998 NABA national student competition for Division II. Among a number of professional activities, the NABA Chapter at WSSU participates in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, tutoring students, hosting guest speakers, and fundraising for several charity organizations during Thanksgiving and Christmas. |

Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society recognizing business excellence, was chartered at Winston-Salem State University in May 2000. This prestigious organization recognizes the best business students internationally at institutions accredited by AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Membership invitations are limited to students ranking in the top seven (7) percent of the junior class, the top ten (10 percent of the senior class and the top 20 percent of the master’s programs. There is no higher honor that to graduate “Beta Gamma Sigma.” |
