Student of Winston-Salem State University.If you have been admitted to WSSU but have not completed the FAFSA Form, then do so today. Certain awards have limited funds that are made available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Educational costs are due at the beginning of the semester and a delay in the completion of the FAFSA Form may increase the possibility that you will not be awarded in time to cover your expenses.

WSSU wants to make sure that you have all the resources needed to make your collegiate experience successful. The only way we can accomplish this is with your help. Visit www.fafsa.ed.gov and complete your application today!

   1. Go to www.pin.ed.gov and sign up for a PIN number for your parent(s) and yourself, this will allow you to sign the application online.
2. Prepare your parent(s) and your 2006 Federal Income Tax Returns.
3. Collect any additional income information and have it readily available.
4. Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and complete the 2007-2008 Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
5. After you receive your Student Aid Report, check with Banner Rams Online to see if any additional documents are required to complete your application.
6. Once you have been awarded, go to Banner Rams Online to select and accept the financial aid awards you would like to take advantage of.
7. After accepting a loan, you will need to complete loan counseling at mapping-your-future.org and submit the confirmation to the Financial Aid Office.
8. Finally, be sure that you validate your schedule on Banner Rams Online.
