Ramdition is a week-long student orientation into college life. During Ramdition, students will participate in classroom sessions, campus life workshops, and social activities, which are designed to ease their transition into the collegiate experience.
Students will be assigned a Legacy Leader, an upper-level WSSU student who will serve as their personal guide throughout Ramdition and lead the students assigned Legacy Group of 8 to 10 fellow first-year students throughout the week's activities.
Students will meet their Resident Advisor and Hall Director, individuals charged with addressing their housing needs; a Faculty Advisor, who assists students with registering for classes and managing their curriculum choices; and an Academic Success Counselor, who will oversee a student’s academic progress and facilitates access to resources that aid in reaching their goals.
Ramdition's Through the Archway ceremony marks the culmination of the week-long orientation. This rite of passage ceremony is also the celebration of a new beginning in the lives of the Class of 2018, and the 'official' welcoming of first-year students into the Winston-Salem State University Ram Family.
