
Two Free Legal Seminars Offered Through WSSU

Through its participation in TALIAS (Technology Assisted Legal Instructions and Services), Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) is offering workshops on mortgage issues and on workplace rights that are free and open to the public.The foreclosure prevention workshop will be Saturday, June 18, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and will focus on facing mortgage issues including potential foreclosure. The workplace rights session will be Saturday, June 25, from 10 a.m. until noon and will provide an overview of the equal opportunity laws and the complaint processing procedures.
Coordinated by the North Carolina Central University School of Law, the workshops will be held at the S. G. Atkins Community Development’s new Enterprise Center, 1922 S. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. While the workshops are free, pre-registration is required. To register or for questions, call WSSU’s video services department at 750-2680.
