WSSU Faculty Member Awarded Scholarship for Writing Centers Institute
Dr. Dwedor M. Ford
Dr. Dwedor Morais Ford, a member of the writing faculty in the Language Arts Center at Winston-Salem State University (WSSU), has received a scholarship to attend the International Writing Centers Association’s 2012 Summer Institute.
Ford was one of three people selected for a scholarship. She was chosen based on her work to provide WSSU students with the tools and skills necessary to become stronger writers and readers.
The International Writing Center Association fosters communication among writing centers across the country. Its annual summer program brings together a diverse group of writing center leaders and Institute participants for a week-long retreat to focus on a variety of topics that impact and improve writing centers on college and university campuses.
