
Information Session on M/WBE Certification at S.G. Atkins CDC on March 8

The Enterprise Center of the S. G. Atkins Community Development Corporation is hosting a seminar for minority and women owned businesses that are interested in becoming certified as a HUB (Historically Underutilized Business).The session, which is free and open to the public, will be on Thursday, March 8, from 10 until 11 a.m. at The Enterprise Center, 1922 S. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. Walter Farabee, MWBE (Minority and Women Business Enterprise) coordinator for the City of Winston-Salem will be the instructor for the seminar and provide information on the benefits of being HUB certified. He also will discuss how certified businesses can become involved in construction projects and department spending through the city’s M/WBE Program.
