Pearsall Named New Head of Business Services
Donald R. Pearsall has been appointed assistant vice chancellor for business services at Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) effective July 8, 2013.
He will have responsibility for the Division of Business Services and all of the auxiliary service departments, which include auxiliary administration, conferences and institutes, the book store, mailroom and the WSSU ticket office.
Pearsall has extensive experience in higher education business services, human resources and procurement. Prior to joining WSSU, he was director of human resources and risk management at Livingstone College. He previously had served as assistant vice president for business and finance and executive director of auxiliary services at Saint Augustine's College, where he was also responsible for transportation, the wellness center, faculty housing and student residence. Additionally, Pearsall has served as manager and consultant with an international accounting firm, led his own business practice, and served in the U.S. Army.
A graduate of North Carolina Central University with a B.A. degree in political science, Pearsall earned his MBA from Strayer University and is currently in a doctoral program through Capella University. He is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management, the Institute of Management Consultants and the American Legion.
