Singleton Named to Commission for International Association
Aaron Singleton, director of news and media relations at Winston-Salem State University, has been selected to serve as a member of the Commission on Communications and Marketing for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), an international association of educational institutions.
The Commission on Communications and Marketing is one of three commissions that frame and direct research to evaluate professional practices, establish professional standards, and advise CASE on programming and services that reflect current knowledge and emerging trends in their respective areas. The other two commissions deal with alumni relations and philanthropy.
Singleton currently serves on the boards of the Triad Dream Center, Twin City Stage and Hospice and Palliative CareCenter in Winston-Salem. He also has been on the CASE District III board for nine years. He joined WSSU in 1996 following three years as director of public relations for Cheyney University of Pennsylvania and seven years as a writer and editor at Penn State University.
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education is a professional association serving educational institutions and the advancement professionals who work on their behalf in alumni relations, communications, development, marketing and allied areas.
