Distance Learning
The personnel in the office of Distance Learning, a unit in the Division of Lifelong Learning at Winston Salem State University continually strives to promote and facilitate the development and delivery of credit-bearing online courses, certificates and degree programs that support students’ academic enrichment goals. Our target population includes, but is not limited to, students who have little or no opportunity to experience higher education in a traditional setting.
While our delivery methods are often technology-assisted and are used to provide instruction, instructional support, and student development services, the office of Distance Learning emphasizes customer service and responsiveness to the needs and concerns of its students and faculty by providing personal, timely, accurate and complete services. Whether the delivery method is online or site-based our students and faculty are and will continue to be the focus and the purpose of our unit. We are here to support you and your academic goals. Our support team extends beyond the office of Distance Learning and includes our Distance Learning Coordinators , Nontraditional Adult Student Services, Academic Technologies, the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, Distance Learning Librarian, Continuing Education and Summer Sessions, and University faculty, staff and administration!
Distance Learning is determined, dedicated, driven, and directed to deliver accredited, relevant, engaging and timely distance courses, certificates and degree programs. We invite you to the experience and to the RAM nation!
