Winston-Salem State University sponsors several pre-college programs for K-12 students in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System. The university has a rich history of commitment to the education of disadvantaged students and is a premier, student-centered HBCU where students can maximize their options and fulfill their goals.

WSSU's productive, highly successful student support programs promote and facilitate matriculation of individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. There are currently two pre-college programs. The services provided by these programs help to make a post-secondary education a realistic achievement for disadvantaged students.
