The Writing Center
Welcome to the Writing Center!
The University Writing Center offers free writing assistance to writers in all disciplines and at all levels across the WSSU campus. The Center, staffed by professional writing faculty and trained peer consultants, provides face-to-face and online consultations for all writers. Our staff helps writers understand the writing process and a variety of rhetorical devices such as purpose, audience, organization, language, and conventions.
The Center houses a library of writing references—dictionaries, style manuals, and handbooks—that can be used onsite or borrowed for up to two weeks at a time.
Located in the Hauser Building, Suite 103, the Writing Center is a comfortable place to write, to receive feedback on writing projects, and to use tools and resources in a community environment.
