Mrs. Cession’s primary responsibilities are to assist the Executive Assistant to the Chancellor and Secretary of the University with daily tasks including: processing incoming invoices for payment; managing inter-departmental budget requests; maintaining a balanced budget and the financial records for the Office of the Chancellor; and assisting with the planning and organizing of university events. Mrs. Cession also serves as a liaison to the WSSU Board of Trustees. In this capacity she manages the preparation of quarterly and called board meetings, travel arrangements, the collection and distribution of meeting materials, and the preparation of minutes and maintenance of correspondence for the Board of Trustees.

Ms. Gilliard assists in the day-to-day office operations, including interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising of all student and temporary employees within the department. In addition to advising and assisting the Executive Assistant to the Chancellor, Ms. Gilliard is responsible for: organizing, coordinating, and managing special events and major university events both on and off campus; organizing interdepartmental meetings; assisting with the preparation for the quarterly meetings of the Board of Trustees, including the minutes and additional correspondence.

Ms. Dixon serves as the main office receptionist. Her other administrative duties include: preparing general correspondence; managing the daily calendar for the Executive Assistant to the Chancellor and Secretary of the University; logging in the daily mail, maintaining the office files; and assisting with preparations for special events.

Mr. Glenn’s primary responsibility is to manage, update and maintain the mailing distribution list for the Office of the Chancellor.  His other responsibilities include: assisting with planning and organizing of special events; preparing outgoing correspondence and serving as the backup receptionist.
