Facilities and Administrative (F&A) Rate Agreement
Rates are negotiated with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The approved rate for the university must be used when submitting proposals to agencies that consider it an allowable cost.
For those agencies that will not pay the F&A rate or will only allow for a smaller rate to be paid, documentation from the agency must be submitted to the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) along with the proposal.
NOTE: The F&A rate in the attached agreement (see below for the link) must be calculated only on salaries and wages, not on other line items. If you have questions about budget calculations, please contact WSSU's Pre-Award Administrator at (336) 750-2606.
