Process Improvement Reporting and Analysis Department Mission Statement

 The mission of Process Improvement Reporting and Analysis Unit is to provide consulting and analytical support for university Process Improvement Reporting and Analysis and processes to improve business operations and services to students, faculty, and staff. The services provided ensure optimal system integration, financial reconciliation, and user satisfaction for Process Improvement Reporting and Analysis and processes.

Process Improvement Reporting and Analysis is responsible for testing and acceptance, integration/data conversion services and training for the Finance Module of SunGard Banner relational database system. Additionally, this unit is responsible for development and implementation of automated processes primarily within the Finance and Administration Division. System management support is provided for automated processes such as Banner Finance, Evisions, Webfocus -related to Finance and Administrative functions.  

Process Improvement Reporting and Analysis Department Vision Statement

The vision of Process Improvement Reporting and Analysis Unit is to create and improve processes promoting efficiency among the various administrative functions while working to introduce newly automated functionality thereby reducing manual processes. The unit will continue to present enhancements towards the goal of greater data integrity within a user friendly system environment.

Process Improvement Reporting and Analysis Goals

The unit will provide daily monitoring and management of Banner Finance to ensure validity of data, system synchronization, and appropriate system internal controls.

The unit will develop processes to improve procedures related to various administrative functions utilizing automation to the extent possible.

The unit will provide accurate, timely and courteous customer services to the functional clients as well as management.

The staff will continue to participate in Professional Development to ensure remaining technologically current to trends within the respective profession.

The staff will continue to be a reference and resource for individuals within the WSSU community as well as other universities and constituencies.

Primarily responsible for development and maintenance of WebFocus Reports. Administers training program for WebFocus Users primarily within the Finance Division. Provide process analytical support to Banner Finance users.

Jacqueline Jenkins - Business Systems Analyst Trainee

Provide assistance with training Banner Finance Users on Navigating Banner & Managing Your Funds. Assist with the development and maintenance of Banner Finance documentation manuals. Create on-line training videos for Banner Finance. Provide assistance to units with Mircrosoft products and development of form documents. Formulate manual spreadsheets for automated upload into Banner Finance.

Jean Scales-Business Systems Analyst

Trains Banner Finance Users on Navigating Banner & Managing Your Funds. Develops and maintain Banner Finance documentation manuals. Provides day to day End User assistance as needed. Manages user access for the university's financial system. Supports the implementation and improvement of financial system processes, provides system analysis for all University users and in-depth testing for all Process Improvement Reporting and Analysis.
