Department of Human Resources Polices and Procedures for Winston-Salem State University
Purpose: The Department of Human Resources exists to provide comprehensive human resources services to Winston-Salem State University. The unit assists the Office of Academic Affairs in the recruitment of EPA non-faculty positions and other administrative officers in the recruitment of administrative positions and provides classification, recruitment, and selection advice and processing for SPA positions.
The department is responsible for benefits, salary, and leave administration, in addition to position management, unemployment compensation, workers' compensation, Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave, and staff development and training.
