Graduation Services is your source for information in preparation for graduation and commencement exercises.  Degrees are conferred three times a year:  May (for the spring semester), August (for summer sessions), and December (for the fall semester). Candidates for graduation can check requirements and graduation policies, access forms, check deadlines and get current information about graduation related procedures and events.

In order to proceed with commencement you must:

• apply for graduation with the Office of the Registrar
• pay outstanding debt to Billings & Receivables and
• meet with your academic advisor to ensure you are on track

Undergraduate Student Graduation Application Process for Fall 2013 

Undergraduate students must officially apply for graduation with the Office of the Registrar by April 12, 2013. In addition to the general education requirements, major and minor requirements, a candidate for a baccalaureate degree must meet Academic, Residence and Catalog requirements and regulations in effect at the time of initial enrollment. (Refer to the Undergraduate Catalog at the time of initial enrollment.)

All degree candidates, including transfer students, are allowed six years from the date of enrollment at the university to complete the curriculum under the requirements and regulations in effect at the time of enrollment.  After six years, the current requirements and regulations must be met.  For this purpose, the six years will be counted from August 1 of the year of enrollment to August 1 of the year of graduation. Substitutions and/or changes in course requirements must be recommended by the Department Chair and approved by the Dean.

Graduate Student Graduation Application Process and Catalog Policy for Fall 2013

Graduate students must officially apply for graduation with the Graduate Program by April 10, 2013 (so the graduate applications can be submitted to the Office of the Registrar by April 12, 2013). In addition to degree requirements, a candidate for a graduate degree must meet Academic, Residence and Catalog requirements and regulations in effect at the time of initial enrollment. (Refer to the Graduate Catalog at the time of initial enrollment.)

2013 Commencement Exercises 

Students who submitted graduation applications for the summer or fall 2012 and degrees were conferred, are invited to participate in 2013 Commencement Exercises. Registration to participate in the 2013 Commencement is now closed.  If you completed the registration prior to May 6, 2013, additional information will be sent to you when details regarding the 2013 Commencement Exercises are finalized.
