Marketing and Communications
As stated in the WSSU Strategic Plan, one of the key goals for the university is to "establish an institutional brand that is broadly understood and embraced and to develop a marketing strategy that supports the university's fundraising efforts."
Key to all of the above is effective and consistent communication with our many constituents. The Office of Marketing and Communications works to position the university as a leader in higher education by increasing public awareness and preference for WSSU, its programs and its brand, and publicizing its accomplishments and resources to a wide array of internal and external audiences.
Marketing and Communications staff members produce high-quality print and electronic publications; cutting-edge multimedia and design. To advance the university's "green" cost-savings strategy, the staff will recommend the most efficient format and delivery channel to support the objectives and target audience for each communication. The department also offers the WSSU Brand Style Guide and PowerPoint presentation templates to maintain consistency and brand integrity throughout all communications.
