PROGRAMS FOR NEW FRESHMEN ADMITTED TO WSSU

We strongly encourage all new freshmen who have been accepted to WSSU to register for and attend a RAMS on the Road or a RAMS at Home session.  These programs are an excellent opportunity for you and your family to take care of business related to your enrollment.

RAMS on the Road is a program designed to assist you and your family in completing the enrollment process. As a service to our new freshmen, WSSU will host RAMS on the Road sessions in four locations during March, April and May.

RAMS at Home is the same program as RAMS on the Road. This program is held on the WSSU Campus for students and families that are unable to attend one of the RAMS on the Road sessions or prefer to come to the campus for this session.

You will have the opportunity to take your placement tests during the session. All new freshmen must take computerized placement tests in English, Math and Reading before their fall 2013 class schedule can be completed. Practice tests are available at the College Board's Accuplacer site

In addition to placement testing, representatives from Admissions, Financial Aid, Housing and Residence Life, Student Health Services and University College will be available to answer questions and assist you with next steps in completing the enrollment process.

Check-in for Rams At Home begins at 8:30 AM; session begins promptly at 9:30 AM.
