Whether you are a new or continuing student you need to make sure you know how you will pay for your education each academic year. Financial Aid may be an important part of paying for your education so it's important that you familiarize yourself with the Financial Aid process.

Step 1	Apply for Financial Aid by completing the Application Process section
	Submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). WSSU school code: 002986. Priority filing date is March 1^st All students must reapply every year for financial aid.
Step 2	Review and Accept your award in the My Financial Aid Award section
	View your Award in Banner Rams Online Accept your Award in Banner Rams Online Pay any remaining balance at Student Accounts – click on Student Account Suite (Bills will be available July 15^th) Complete Loan Entrance Counseling and Sign a Promissory Note
Step 3	Respond quickly to requests for additional information
	Check your email inbox and Banner Rams Online frequently Make sure you don't have any outstanding requirements and respond quickly for request for additional information.
Step 4	Maintain Your Eligibility for Financial Aid
	Complete a FAFSA each academic year Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Understand the policies and responsibilities for receiving financial aid
