Symposium for Young Neuroscientists And Professors of the SouthEast (SYNAPSE)

SYNAPSE, a one-day regional undergraduate neuroscience conference, was hosted last year at Wake Forest University - March 26-27, 2010. SYNAPSE provides opportunities for students to present their research results and obtain feedback from neuroscientists at other institutions via poster presentations; discuss important issues in neuroscience training via workshops and panel discussions; learn about cutting-edge research via a keynote speaker; and form and potentiate connections with other neuroscientists in the region. This year's conference included a pre-conference dinner (included with registration) held at 7:00 PM Friday, March 26, 2010 at Winston-Salem State University with Dr. Azeez Aileru of WSSU giving an after dinner presentation entitled The neurobiology of hypertension: The silent killer.
