Interdisciplinary Studies General Curriculum
You will be required to complete the General Studies core identified below. You have transferred at least 60 SH and so do not need to complete the core before you begin taking courses in your specializations as long as you have met prerequisites for the courses for which you plan to register. As a junior, you will not need to take FYC 1103 Freshman Seminar.
The WSSU General Education Core Requirement
Review the Core requirements below to see how closely the credits that you have already earned may match them. WSSU also requires a computer science competency and involvement with the African American experience. These are available through WSSU courses, if you have not yet met them.
Students with an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science Degree from a NC Community College are considered to have completed the "Core" as a result of the articulation agreement between the offices of UNC and the NC Community College Association.
The General Studies Courses - 39 SH
40 SH count if an "Orientation" course is transferred.
Note: The second number in a course number typically represents the credit hours of that course.
