The Distance Learning Unit has as its primary purposes to serve the College of Arts and Sciences by providing assistance for the development and maintenance of online courses and degree programs.

Distance Learning

The Distance Learning Coordinator and Administrative Support Specialist provide direct services that promote course translation from traditional face-to-face delivery to online delivery of those courses. This unit provides faculty support during development and offering of online courses including technical assistance. The development of online courses and online degree programs is vital to the goals of the unit.

Additionally, the unit is responsible for

• marketing of the college's online services
• student recruitment
• advising and support of distance learning students seeking the BIS Integrative Studies degree
• support of all students taking online courses in the College
