Bridge Project to Connect Lowery Street Facilities to Main Campus
If you have visited Winston-Salem State University in recent weeks, you would have noticed that as you turn left off of Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive on to Cromartie Street behind K.R. Williams Auditorium, you saw bulldozers, cranes, and construction vehicles. They were all a part of a three-tiered construction project, which called for the building of a bridge, access road, and a 160-space parking lot.
WSSU to Welcome Largest Freshman Class Since 2008
Winston-Salem State University is expecting 950 new first-year students this fall - the largest incoming class since 2008 and an increase over last year's freshman class of 887. Those students will begin their college experience on Sunday, Aug. 14, with the kick off of the university's week-long fall orientation program known as Ramdition.
