Process Improvement - Reporting

Our Role

The Reporting Unit develops/maintains reports, graphs and dashboards using business intelligence tools and advanced analytics, primarily Information Builders WebFOCUS.   Reports are scheduled via Report Caster to automatically distribute reports.  Reporting data sources consist of the BANNER ERP modules and related 3rd party applications.

Departmental clients are able to make data driven decisions, track data trends and provide enhanced accountability and data transparency.  Monthly training is provided to departmental clients.

Serve as Unit Manager, Lead Developer and Managed Reporting Administrator for the Reporting Unit.  Supervise/assist report developers to ensure that reports are created using the appropriate reporting standards and guidelines.  Manage and administer campus wide report training program.

Serve as Report Developer primarily for Registrar, Admissions and Financial Aid.  Develop reporting views based on reporting needs of functional client.  Serves as back-up Managed Reporting Administrator.

Serve as Residential Management Systems (RMS) administrator and trainer for Housing and Residence Life.  Provide training and documentation to educate business clients on the system navigation and functionality of RMS.  Serve as Report Developer - responsible for development and maintenance of WebFOCUS reports.
