School of Business & Economics

• Center for Economic Analysis •

It is the goal of the Center for Economic Analysis to provide forecasting and economic analysis services to the university and the community at large. Through these efforts, the Center seeks to advance economic development in the surrounding region by providing information that can be used to formulate excellent public policy in the governments operating in and around Forsyth County and to pursue business strategies at the firm level designed to increase employment and earnings in the region.

 Center for Entrepreneurship •

Created in the Fall of 2006, the WSSU Center For Entrepreneurship falls within operational purview of the School of Business and Economics and is focused on meeting the regional demands for entrepreneurship training. In this effort, the Center has focused on course offerings, academic research and outreach programs designed to provide specific training on-campus and on partnerships to provide entrepreneurship training throughout the regional community.

• Center for Excellence in Financial Services •

The mission of the Center of Excellence in Financial Services is to promote the study of personal finance topics in the context of a career in personal financial planning.

• Professional Development Center •

The Professional Development Center was developed with two primary purposes: First, to enhance and further develop students' leadership skills and their preparedness for practical experiences, and second, to provide a central location in the SBE which would facilitate student access and continuous engagement with leadership, experiential and professional development programs. The Professional Development Center is funded partially by a grant provided by Altria Client Services and was founded in 2009 by the Associate Dean, Dr. Kathy Stitts and Dr. Sharon White.
