I cannot thank you enough for all that you have done for me! Due to your kindness and help I have my own second grade classroom and it is sincerely a dream come true! I teach at North Elementary School in Roxboro, NC (Person County Schools) and I successfully completed my first week of teaching! I carry all that I learned from you and the advice you have given me to make my classroom an EXCELLENT classroom. I have attached a picture of my second graders to show you that none of this would have been possible without your help! Thank you for giving me to knowledge and courage to be the best teacher I can be! I love you!!!

____________________________________________________________________________ Mrs. Oates,
I just had to email you and tell you just how much I appreciate you as an instructor and a person. Yesterday, I went to an interview for Durham Public Schools. I went in with confidence and showed them my resume' and classroom management portfolio. SHE WAS IMPRESSED. She said that the portfolio was a full blown Classroom Management Curriculum and they could even start a new committee in which I could one day be the head of, based on that portfolio!
I informed the principal that my students would be told from day one that I expect nothing but EXCELLENCE from them just as my professor once told me.
She was impressed and she hired me on the spot. She said she was a tough principal and this is her first time in all of her years ever hiring a person on the spot. I just want to thank you for everything. You are the FIRST person from the university that I have shared this with and I wouldn't have it any other way because I know you helped guide my work ethic. Thanks again!
