I. Executive Summary
In accordance with the University's Sexual Orientation and Equal Employment Policies, Winston-Salem State University is committed to protecting the rights of all persons and to providing an environment which ensures educational and employment rights without regards to age, ethnicity, gender, levels of physical ability, race, religious background or tradition, or sexual orientation.
II. Policy Statement
Winston-Salem State University requires certain employees to live on campus as a condition of employment. Those employees will be allowed to have spouses or domestic partners live with them in university-owned or university-operated properties. Such living arrangements must be approved in advance by Housing and Residence Life.
Employees and their spouses or domestic partners shall be required to sign a housing agreement and abide by the rules and guidelines set forth by the Office of Housing and Residence Life. Failure to abide by the rules, regulations or procedures will result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal and eviction of all parties.
III. Applicability
The policy applies to all Winston-Salem State University employees.
