The Office of Continuing Education offers noncredit personal and professional development courses which reflect and anticipate the changing nature of society. Courses require no special University admission status and are regularly scheduled to meet the needs of groups or individuals
- Professional Learning – Professional Learning courses address the needs of the working professional, and are typically scheduled in the evenings or online. Programs are specifically designed by professors at Winston-Salem State University to provide professional development opportunities in Business, Health Sciences, and Education.
- Test Prep Academy – The Test Prep Academy provides year-round opportunities to prepare students for critical exams that can lead to new educational opportunities for the future. Currently, we conduct regularly scheduled preparation classes for the SAT, GRE, GMAT, and GED tests.
- Online Courses via Partners – Our partnerships with approved external education vendors allow us to provide training for professionals and skilled tradespeople for many occupations in high demand. With over 500 online courses, the breadth of our offerings is extensive.
- Continuing Education Financial Assistance Programs – Winston Salem State University's Office of Continuing Education supports several financial assistance programs that can assist adult learners with their lifelong learning financial obligations.
