Purchase a Membership
Membership sales are available in person at the UREC Welcome Desk on the third floor or online. Once purchased the membership is activated on the participant's RamCard and members may utilize the center immediately. Members who are not eligible for a RamCard at the time of purchase will be issued a UREC Membership ID card. Lost cards are the responsibility of the owner to replace. RamCards are replaced in the RamCard Office located in the Thompson Center 203. UREC ID cards can be replaced at the Welcome Desk for $10.
Current students, faculty and staff can purchase memberships online with valid university log-in. Full-time students have paid for their membership via student fees and are considered members. Please check your eligibility.
Students wishing to purchase online must be registered for classes. Purchases made on-line are processed and available for use the next business day. Members should retain their receipt as proof of purchase until the membership is activated on their ID card. Please note, all students, faculty/staff must have an activated RamCard or UREC ID card with them to enter the UREC at all times. An activated ID grants swipe access through entry points on the first and third floors. Receipts will only be used to verify membership status until the membership is actually applied to the ID card itself.
Please note: Locker rentals and towel service are available for members only and require an activated ID card for use.
Memberships may be purchased with cash, or a debit/credit card VISA/MasterCard are accepted. All cash transactions are handled through the cashiers office. Please bring your receipt to the Welcome Desk to complete your enrollment. Payroll deduction is available to WSSU EPA/ SPA employees. Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Renew a Membership
Renewals can be processed in person at the UREC Welcome Desk or online. Memberships may be purchased with cash, or a debit/credit card VISA/MasterCard are accepted. Cash transactions are handled through the cashiers office. Please bring your receipt to the Welcome Desk to complete your enrollment. Payroll deduction and "household member" options may be changed during renewal. Members currently paying through payroll deduction need not renew. Payroll deduction continues until membership is changed or cancelled. Note: A change in a household member requires a new membership agreement.
