Biography

Dorothy Peterson Bethea, Ed.D., OTR-L, FAOTA, is Professor and the inaugural Chair of the Department to Occupational Therapy Master of Science program at Winston-Salem State University. Occupational Therapy career is over thirty years inclusive of clinical experience in general rehabilitation, orthopedics and ergonomics, plus academic teaching and administration. Teaching comprises administration, management, policy and research. Research focus encompasses self-management/wellness program development and simulated learning. Credentials include Arthritis Self-Help Leader through the American Arthritis Foundation, and a Matter of Balance Coach for Fall Prevention.
