Biography

Jennifer Martin, PT, MS, DPT, GCS is an Assistant Clinical Professor and Director of Clinical Education for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, NC. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of North Carolina in 1994, and in 2005 was concurrently awarded her Master of Science in Exercise Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of South Carolina. She is a Level II Credential Clinical Instructor, a Certified Vestibular Therapist, and in 2015 earned her board certification as a Geriatric Clinical Specialist. Dr. Martin's primary research interests include educational psychology, learning and study strategies, early learners in clinical education, and acute care physical therapist practice.  She is an engaging and dynamic speaker, and has presented educational content and original research at local, state, regional, and national levels.  She is active in state and regional professional associations, and currently serves as the Practice Director-at-Large for the North Carolina Physical Therapy Association, as well as the President of the Carolinas Clinical Education Consortium.
