Jennifer Martin, PT, MS, DPT, GCS is an Assistant Clinical Professor and Director of Clinical Education for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, NC. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of North Carolina in 1994, in 2005 was concurrently awarded her Master of Science in Exercise Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of South Carolina, and became a Geriatric Certified Clinical Specialist in 2015. She is active in state and regional professional associations. Dr. Martin is a Credentialed Clinical Instructor, a former Center Coordinator of Clinical Education, and has been recognized by her peers as Clinical Educator of the Year, and Outstanding Clinical Faculty. Her research interests are varied and include development of expertise in physical therapy, theories of teaching and learning, vestibular rehabilitation, and balance and fall prevention in elderly individuals. Dr. Martin draws on her experience in academia, acute care, and home health to employ a broad perspective of the health care continuum, and has presented on local, state and national stages.
