Study: Chancellor Robinson among most engaged college leaders on Twitter

WSSU Chancellor Elwood L. Robinson

A new study has placed Winston-Salem State University Chancellor Elwood L. Robinson among the most engaged college leaders on Twitter.

The study, from the Penn Center for MSIs, ranks Robinson no. 10 among the presidents of 195 minority-serving institutions (MSIs).

Only 36 percent of MSI presidents use social media to engage with their students, according to the study. Renu Khator of the University of Houston System is no. 1.

Engaging through social media has been a constant since Robinson arrived as WSSU's 13th chancellor in January 2015. Robinson posts a mix of content on his page, often engaging directly with students.

Robinson has around 3,300 followers on Twitter. He also has a presence on Instagram and Facebook.
