WSSU Nursing Program achieves perfect NCLEX pass rate: 100% success for 2023

Winston-Salem State University’s nursing program has achieved a flawless 100% pass rate for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) in 2023. Among the cohort of 71 students who undertook the rigorous examination throughout the year, everyone emerged with a perfect score. This academic feat solidifies WSSU’s reputation for producing top-tier nursing professionals.

The NCLEX is a critical milestone for aspiring nurses, serving as the final hurdle before they can embark on their careers in healthcare. It assesses their ability to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during their academic journey to real-world clinical scenarios. Achieving a perfect pass rate is not only a testament to the dedication and hard work of the students but also reflects the exceptional quality of education provided by the institution.

"This outstanding achievement is a testament to the tireless efforts of our faculty and the dedication of our students. It showcases the strength of our curriculum and the caliber of individuals we nurture within our program," Dr. Battle said.

The performance of the nursing program underscores its commitment to preparing competent and compassionate healthcare professionals equipped to meet the challenges of an evolving healthcare landscape. With an emphasis on practical skills, critical thinking, and ethical practice, graduates of the program are poised to make meaningful contributions to the healthcare community, both locally and globally.

As the healthcare industry continues to evolve, the demand for skilled nurses remains steadfast. The 100% NCLEX pass rate attained by the Division of Nursing program for the year 2023 not only reflects the program's excellence but also reinforces its status as a beacon of educational excellence in the field of nursing. It serves as a source of inspiration for future cohorts and a testament to the unwavering commitment of the institution to uphold the highest standards of nursing education.
