WSSU partners with baseball team for 'Night at the Dash'

Winston-Salem State University is partnering with the Winston-Salem Dash minor league baseball team for WSSU Night at the Dash on Thursday, April 25, when the Dash takes on the Rome Emperors.

The game begins at 7 p.m. at Truist Stadium located at 951 Ballpark Way, Winston-Salem.

This will be a fun-filled evening of baseball to celebrate WSSU. Interim Chancellor Dr. Anthony Graham will throw out the first pitch at 6:45 p.m., and the Red Sea of Sound will perform the National Anthem at 6:50 p.m.

The night will also feature the WSSU Powerhouse of Red and White Cheerleaders, Amon the Ram and student presentations.

This will also be an excellent time to recruit future Rams as representatives from WSSU admissions will be on hand, so high school students are urged to attend to get more information on WSSU’s student life and academic programming.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Winston-Salem State University to bring an exciting night to Truist Stadium. With the support of Powerhouse Cheer, the WSSU Band and an appearance by Amon the Ram, the Dash are looking forward to highlighting Winston-Salem State University and its rich history in our community,” said Dash President and General Manager Brian DeAngelis.

“Winston-Salem State Night at the Dash is an opportunity to strengthen our community engagement and highlight the impact of our university in this community,” said Graham.

Complimentary tickets are available to WSSU employees while supplies last. More tickets can be purchased here.

Ticket packages that include a red and black hat can be purchased here. However, if fans would like to purchase their ticket and cap separately, it will be available for purchase in the team store.
