WSSU senior and golfer featured in national Wilson Golf campaign

Winston-Salem State University senior and men’s golf team member Ahmad Raoul is gaining national attention as the featured athlete in Wilson Golf’s newly launched branding campaign for its latest line of golf clubs, golf balls and apparel.

Raoul, a management information systems major from Chicago, was selected to represent the iconic sports brand as part of its nationwide marketing effort, spotlighting his skill on the course and leadership beyond competition.

Head Golf Coach Charles Penny II said, “Ahmad’s inclusion in this launch highlights not only his talent and composure on the course but also the values of dedication, integrity and leadership that represent both Winston-Salem State University and our athletic department. His collaboration with a historic brand like Wilson Golf underscores the rising visibility of our student-athletes on and off the field of competition.”

In addition to his athletic achievements, Raoul continues to build a strong professional foundation. He was recently accepted into the Project Destined Commercial Real Estate Fundamentals Certificate Program, a nationally competitive initiative focused on expanding access to careers in commercial real estate.

“As someone who’s passionate about technology, entrepreneurship and building long-term value, I see commercial real estate as a powerful platform for driving sustainable growth and creating tangible impact in communities,” Raoul said. “Joining this program is a strategic step toward broadening my investment lens, mastering core real estate financial principles and eventually bridging commercial real estate with data-driven insights and innovative tech solutions.”

Through the program, Raoul will gain hands-on exposure to deal analysis, market research and property valuation while collaborating with industry professionals and mentors from across the country.

“I look forward to applying what I learn not only to my own ventures but also to future partnerships that make a lasting impact,” he said.

Raoul, a member of H.O.P.E. Realty Group, is expected to graduate in May 2026.
