To begin the application process, please select a user name and password that you will easily remember. You should write down your user name and password. You will need it to apply for other positions or check the status of your application the next time you visit the site. If you forget your user name or password, you can contact the Human Resources Front Desk at 336-750-2830 for assistance.
It is not necessary to create a new user name and password every time you apply for a position because once you have created your user name and password, it will stay in the application system indefinitely. All you have to do is edit your existing application with any changes that may have occurred since the last time you applied for a position and attach it to the position you are now applying for.
Everyone who applies for a position is required to create an online application which includes certain information. Any required information is denoted with an asterisk (*). SEARCH POSTINGS if you wish to see position openings before you apply.
Applicants will complete their applications online at http://jobs.wssu.edu from any computer with Internet access. Applicants will view open positions and apply to any listed by answering job-related questions. If referred, the application documentation will be viewable by the hiring manager.
Staff is available in the Human Resources Department, Room 203 Eller Hall, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., or you may call the Human Resources Front Desk at 336-750-2830.

Yes. You may attach any required documents, such as a resume and cover letter, as you apply for each position. Electronic documents in Word or PDF format can be attached during the application process. There will be directions prompting you how and when to attach your resume. If you plan to attach a resume and/or cover letter using our computers, please bring these documents with you on a flash drive.
PLEASE NOTE that attaching a resume does not substitute for completing the application form.
Yes; for example, you can copy and paste the information from a Word or WordPerfect document directly into the appropriate fields in the application form.
You may edit your application at any time before you apply to a position. If you need to edit your application or other attachments after applying for a position, please contact Cheryl Cooper in Employment at 336-750-2834 or the Human Resources Front Desk at 336-750-2830.
You will have the ability to monitor your status online.
If you meet the minimum qualifications and are an approved referral, the hiring manager will be able to view your application materials online.

Full-time external positions can be posted from 5 to 30 days. Internal positions can be posted a minimum of 5 days. Departments may choose to list positions longer to obtain additional applicants.
Anything (including interview notes) pertaining to a new hire must be kept for a period of not less than three years.
Yes. A job may be reopened for up to 90 days after the job was first placed on hold.
