200.24 - Deferred Tuition and Fee
University Group Policy #200.24
North Carolina General Statute (G.S.) 116-143 does not allow for free tuition within the University of North Carolina and calls for tuition, fees and other expenses to be paid at the beginning of each term. The Statute gives authority to the boards of trustees to accept the obligation of students if students are not able to pay their bills when they are due. Therefore, the university will, on a case by case basis, extend the final payment date for tuition and fees beyond the enrollment census date for any term for those students it expects to be able to complete payment within the term or financial aid award year.
This policy is applicable to students at Winston-Salem State University.
