Our mission is bold yet simple: rally 1,000 donors to each give at least $1,000 annually—raising $1 million to elevate the student-athlete experience across all sports.

The 1000 HORN$ Campaign is an initiative to revitalize the HORN$ program at Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) by securing 1,000 donors, each giving at least $1,000 annually. The goal is to raise $1,000,000 by December 2025 to support WSSU Athletics. The HORN$ Program was created by the Legendary Bill Hayes as a fundraiser for the WSSU Athletics.
Who can join the 1000 HORN$ Campaign?Anyone who is passionate about supporting WSSU Athletics can join the campaign. This includes alumni, young alumni, community supporters, local small businesses, and corporate partners.
How can I join the 1000 HORN$ Campaign?You can join the campaign by making a donation of $1,000 or more. Donations can be made online through the WSSU Athletics website or by contacting Willonda Thomas at the WSSU Athletics Department.
