COVID-19 Case Dashboard

The information below represents Winston-Salem State University’s faculty, staff, and students who meet at least one of the following conditions:

  • Students that are diagnosed with a confirmed case of COVID-19 through diagnostic testing (either rapid antigen test or RT-PCR test) by Student Health Services, or tested off-site and reported to Student Health Services
  • Faculty, staff, and students who have tested positive and reported their positive status to their supervisor or Human Resources or the Office of Emergency Management

Reporting requirements indicate remote faculty, staff, and student case numbers must be included in the university’s case count. Those Individuals who are sick are advised to remain in isolation in accordance to CDC and NCDHHS guidance and receive medical care as appropriate.

The dashboard is updated weekly. WSSU may add additional data and detail to this dashboard as the semester progresses.

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS) COVID19 Dashboard is also a great way to keep informed of state-wide COVID-19 trends, including case counts, hospitalizations, and vaccinations.

*The data presented here are the presumed positive and lab-confirmed positive cases that were reported via self-report, diagnostic testing, or through local health officials within the past 24 hours and may or may not be located on campus.

To protect individuals’ private health information, WSSU will not identify students or employees diagnosed with COVID-19. Additionally, as required, the University follows confidentiality guidelines and directives set forth in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
