LEGO Robotics

The WSSU NC-MSEN Pre-College Program will host its LEGO Robotics Camp on July 16 - 20, 2018. 

The program is now accepting applications for its LEGO Robotics Camp 2018.  The camp will take place July 16th through July 20th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (lunch is included). In order to be considered for the LEGO Robotics Camp, students MUST complete and submit an application. Payment pricing is available on the front page of the application.

What is the purpose of LEGO Robotics?

LEGO Robotics materials and practices represent a highly motivating, highly engaging basis for standards-based learning across the curriculum, with particular value in the four STEM subject areas. LEGO Robotics enables and facilitates progressive approaches to instruction, such as project-based learning and problem-based learning, hands-on learning (learning by making things), collaborative learning, authentic learning and assessment, and constructivist learning. The kits and practices are also used as the basis for the very popular FIRST LEGO League extra-curricular and after-school activities and competitions.

What is LEGO Mindstorm Robotics?

The LEGO Mindstorm series of kits contain software and hardware to create customizable, programmable robots. They include an intelligent brick computer that controls the system, a set of modular sensors and motors, and LEGO parts from the Technic line to create the mechanical systems.
