Call for Proposals

The WSSU AI Summit 2026 invites scholars, practitioners, and students to submit abstracts for consideration in our workshop and poster presentation sessions. We welcome proposals that examine innovative practices, emerging research, and critical perspectives related to artificial intelligence and its influence across disciplines and sectors. 

Submissions should reflect thoughtful engagement with the summit theme, Rising with Intelligence: Advancing Innovation and Human Possibility, and contribute to meaningful dialogue around the responsible advancement of AI.

Submission Categories

1. Workshop/Oral Presentations
Interactive or lecture-style sessions of approximately 20/30/45 minutes that engage participants in research findings, applied projects, instructional strategies, ethical considerations, case studies, tools, or emerging practices related to artificial intelligence. 

2. Panel Discussions
Facilitated discussions (50 minutes) featuring multiple presenters that examine emerging issues, interdisciplinary perspectives, policy implications, or real-world applications of artificial intelligence. Panel proposals should include a moderator and clearly defined discussion themes. 

3. Poster Presentations
Visual displays highlighting research, student projects, or community-based initiatives. Presenters should be available to discuss their work during the dedicated Poster Presentation Hour on the day of the summit. 

Abstract Guidelines

  • Abstracts should be 250–300 words in length. 
  • Include a title, presenter name(s), institutional affiliation(s), and contact information. 
  • Include identified track, i.e. Student Success; Teaching, Research, and Innovation; Operations and Institutional Excellence; Community and Regional Impact. 
  • Identify which submission category you are applying for. 
  • Clearly describe the purpose, methods, findings, and significance of your work. 
  • Submissions must align with the summit’s theme: Shaping the Future of Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education and Beyond.
