The Advanced Nurse Educator Certificate prepares advanced-practice nurses who have already earned a MSN in a specialty field and would like additional training to practice as a nurse educator. The Certificate integrates theories, evidence-based teaching, and teaching-learning strategies in the education of staff, students, health care professionals, clients, and communities across the lifespan.

Students completing the ANE Certificate achieve the same competencies, objectives, learning outcomes and specialty courses required to complete the Master of Science in Nursing Advanced Nurse Educator curriculum.

As an ANE student I participated in the Bridge to the Doctorate program between WSSU and Duke University. This helped with my smooth transition to the Ph.D. program at Duke and gave me the confidence to assist professors with designing courses and conduct lectures in large classrooms.
