WSSU Open House: The Ram Experience

October 28 & November 11

Winston-Salem State University is like no other HBCU! This is an opportunity for #FutureRams to see first-hand why the Ramily is so special. You’ll enjoy a day exploring our beautiful and historic campus. Here is what you can expect:

  • Experience Powerhouse Cheerleaders and the Red Sea of Sound. 
  • Learn how affordable a WSSU education can be!
  • Engage with student lifecampus tours, and the breezeway.
  • Explore majors at the academic fair.
  • Attend Ram Fest Tailgate.
  • Vibe with performances from our Greek and other student organizations. 
  • Ask faculty and staff members anything.

Program: Welcome to the Ramily!

8 – 9 a.m. | Check-In and Breakfast l Enjoy DJ vibes and a continental breakfast.

9 – 10 a.m. | Opening Sessions and Paying for College

  • Experience the Powerhouse Cheerleaders and the Red Sea of Sound.

  • Hear greetings from Chancellor Anthony Graham.

  • Get a WSSU Chant Tutorial.

  • Learn how affordable a WSSU education can be.

10 10:15 a.m. l Transition to a smaller group.

10:15 – 11:50 a.m. | Academic Fair, Student Life Fair, and Campus Tour (rotating groups)

Legacy Leaders and alumni will lead your smaller group through an Academic Fair, Student Life Fair, Student Organization Presentation, and a brief campus tour.

11:50 a.m. – 12:05 p.m. l Snack break

12:05 – 1:45 p.m. l Academic Fair, Student Life Fair, and Campus Tour (rotating groups)

Legacy Leaders and alumni will lead your smaller group through an Academic Fair, Student Life Fair, Student Organization Presentation, and a brief campus tour.

2 – 4 p.m. | Lunch, Music, and Fun at the Ram Fest Tailgate

Music, food, and fun! The Ram Fest Tailgate will give you a true taste of what it means to be part of the Ramily.


 

ATTIRE: We encourage comfortable casual attire for our guests. Sneakers or comfortable walking shoes are highly encouraged as our day will include a full exploration of campus.

ACCESSIBILITY: We want everyone to have a great day. We have very comfortable shuttles and golf carts for any guest that may need extra assistance.

PARKING: Parking will be on the main campus. Guests are asked to enter campus at MLK, Jr. Drive and Cromartie Streets. Please follow the event parking signage.
