Alicia Anderson-Brown

Biography

Dr. Brown has over 37 years of experience in program administration, supervision, development, and training. Dr. Brown joins WSSU as the Executive Director of the BeHCU and Mobile Unit under Rehabilitation Counseling. Dr. Brown has been teaching at graduate and undergraduate levels for over 13 years. Dr. Brown is a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC), Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), and a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS). Dr. Brown describes herself as a “Pollyanna” and specializes in substance use, intimate partner violence, criminal justice, and child welfare populations. Dr. Brown loves singing, the peace of the water, fishing, and cooking. Dr. Brown’s motto is, “Smile, it changes things!!!!!”
