Biography

Dr. Breonte Guy is an Associate Professor of Psychological Sciences at Winston-Salem State University. Dr. Guy’s research interests center on factors promoting STEM career awareness and participation among underserved populations, focusing on designing and implementing early interventions integrating technology and increasing STEM interest and engagement. Dr. Guy’s teaching philosophy is student-centered and equity-minded. His classroom is a safe and affirming space for students to cultivate 21st-century skills like critical thinking, collaboration, adaptability, information analysis, curiosity, and creativity. Dr. Guy integrates research and teaching by working with advanced students on undergraduate research projects, often supporting students learning and development via intensive immersion into federal research projects. Dr. Guy is dedicated to student success and is driven to provide cutting-edge learning experiences that promote academic excellence.
